C'est Magnifique February Sketch Challenge

Here is my take on the C'est Magnifique February Sketch.  I used the chipboard frame by Blue Fern included in the February kit.  I gave it a white wash technique to kind of give it an aged look,  I kept adding white paint and wiping it off until I liked the effect.   I used a couple of different papers from the kit by Maja design.  I then added some blooms from my stash.  There was a beautiful purple Prima vine included in the kit, but it just looked too big for this page.  I will use it on another page in the future.  There are so many other gorgeous papers included in the kit.  I can't wait to use them.  I love Maja Design.  Thanks for looking.

I made this page for my mom's growing up album.  I used Pion Design papers from the For Mother collection.  I also added a Prima Marketing Say it in pearls bling, and Websters Pages Girl Land Storytellers alpha stickers.  Thanks for having a look.

I made this page for my mom's wedding album.  I used papers from Donna Salazar collections:  Antiquities, and Botanique.  I also used flowers from Prima Marketing Firefly collection and some other Prima flowers I had in my stack.

Here is the Prima Marketing Firefly flowers.

I also added Dusty Attic chipboard, DA0625.

I got these beautiful butterfly's from Angelica's Etsy shop.  Her shop is called My Little Scrap Shop.  Check it out.

Thanks for having a look.

I made this page for the Dusty Attic February Sketch Challenge.  I used Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings collection which is perfect for wedding photos.  This time I stuck close to the sketch.  I also used a paper from the Prima Marketing collection Annalee for my border.  I used Dusty Attic chipboard, DA0628,  I aged it little with different colors of paint and wiping them off .  Thanks for having a look.

I changed this photo.  I was adding this to my moms wedding album, and I looked at it, and decided the chipboard was too light.  I took it off and set it aside to use on a different project.  I decided to add a piece of Dusty Attic chipboard, and I like it better.  Decide for yourself.

Thanks for looking.

C'est Magnifique bits and pieces givaway.  The beautiful February kit, Royal Tea party, is sold out.  The bits and pieces is the only change to enjoy what is left.  Check out this picture.

Here is my art canvas for the Swirlydoos Ultimate Design Challenge week 4.  I stamped the canvas with Prima and Bo Bunny stamps in gesso.  I then sprayed with Heidi Swapp Silver Sugar by Tattered Angels.  I also added 3 other Tattered Angels sprays.  I went on to decorate it like it was a normal layout.  I used Kaisercraft and Prima papers.  I also used a Dusty attic chipboard embellishment.  I aged it with usual paints. The photo I used was my beautiful cat Tabba.

Thanks for having a look.

Swirlydoos Ultimate Design Challenge Week 3.

This week the challenge was to use metal tape on a project.  This was not my favorite challenge, because I really do not ever use anything that is not designed for scrapbooking.  I decided a page with a picture was out of the question, so I decided to make a tag.  I went to Lowe's, and bought the tape, and right away I embossed the tape, and then die cut it with a spellbinders iron works motif die. I aged it with Gesso, and different color paints to shabby it up and make it look old.  The picture doesn't look right because it shows up white in places and that die cut is old and rustic looking in person.

I used a Tim Holtz for Ranger tag.  I stamped with Gesso in no particular fashion.  Heat set it. I then inked up the tag with Tim Holts distress inks in Worn Lipstick, Victorian Velvet, and Spun Sugar.  The picture again is off because the tag in person is pinker.   I added a piece of Kaisercraft paper, a doily, and some lace.  Then I added the die cut, and some flowers.
