Shoe lace technique

Punch your holes.  You can use a ruler to keep your holes straight.  A Tim Holtz ruler works well for this because there are holes you can put a pencil through to mark where to punch.  I used the water threading craft punch by Fiskers on this sample.  You might want to try first with holes not so close together.  It is a pretty easy technique, as it is as easy as a shoe lace to tie.  Start your ribbon in the front.

On the back cross the ribbon and go into the next hole.

On the front, cross again and go back through the next holes.  Continue this until your project is complete.  Then add to you layout.

I made this layout with the beautiful Peyton papers by Anna Griffin.
